Kangana Ranaut’s story is that of rags to riches. The actress who didn’t belong to any film family and hailed from a small town, has carved a niche for herself with some brilliant, critically acclaimed on-screen performances. However, she feels that her profession is a lonely world!
The actress is not known to be a very social person. She is not on any of the social networking sites nor does she believe in attending parties. She feels actresses are mostly confined to their make-up rooms. “But that’s true. We talk to our managers and publicists. Once in a while, we interact with journalists. That’s all. Otherwise, we are surrounded by bodyguards when we make public appearances,” says Kangana.
On a lighter note, she says, “I cannot strike a conversation with my bodyguards when they are in the middle of crowd management,” and further adds, “It’s a lonely world. It keeps you away from genuine friends. When I was in New York, I made genuine friends. Most of them didn’t even know about my profession. They didn’t meet me with vested interests.”
