As expected Aamir Khan’s Dangal has finally achieved the feat and beaten the records held by PK. The film in it’s seventeenth day has gone past the domestic business of Aamir Khan’s 2014 blockbuster PK. In 2014, the film had made Rs 340.8 crore becoming the highest grossing Indian film ever. Since then Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan(Rs 320.34 crore) and Sultan(Rs 300.45 crore) tried to break its record but failed to do so. It took Aamir Khan himself to achieve the feat once again. Early figures suggests an estimate of Rs 344 crore. And now with this, Dangal is on course to go past Rs 350 crore at Indian box office becoming first film to do so. With that, Aamir Khan has created a new record. The actor always sets new records and breaks it.
Aamir Khan was the first one to start Rs 100 club with Ghajini, Rs 200 crore club with 3 Idiots, Rs 250 crore club with Dhoom 3, Rs 300 crore club with PK and now on course for Rs 350 crore club with Dangal. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the same, “#Dangal is now the HIGHEST GROSSING Hindi film… Crossed *lifetime biz* of #PK [₹ 340.8 cr] on Day 17… Now speeding towards ₹ 350 cr.”
