Newsroom Special - World Environment Day
Wednesday, June 5th, 2019 - 8 minutes
To mark World Environment Day on 5 June, Smart Energy GB has asked 8 to 16-year-olds what their concerns are when it comes to climate change and whose responsibility it is to reduce our carbon footprint. According to the survey almost 8 in 10 (77 per cent) young people say that they worry about climate change at least once a month and only 5 per cent believe that solving the issue of climate change is likely within their lifetime. To discuss how the next generation of climate champions are feeling about the issue and what they can do to help we were joined by TV presenter Julia Bradbury and Iagan MacNeil from Smart Energy GB.
