Bowler Jake Ball has injured his ankle during a warm-up for the first Ashes Test.
The 26-year-old sprained his ankle bowling his fourth over on the second day against a Cricket Australia XI and limped off the field in Adelaide.
Fielding coach Paul Collingwood, 41, came on as a substitute fielder for Ball for one over.
On Tuesday, England fast bowler Steven Finn left the tour with a knee injury and was replaced by the uncapped Tom Curran.
