England Golf has announced a 12-player under-16 team to face Ireland at Ballybunion Golf Club from 3–5 October.
England Golf has confirmed the 12 youngsters who will represent the country’s under-16 team in the annual match against Ireland at Ballybunion Golf Club next month.
The squad is made up of six girls – Lauren Crump, Daisy Lee, Ellie Lichtenhein, Emily Peaford, Ria Prabhakar and Arianna Virik – and six boys – Albie Beeston, Alex Boyes, Thomas Hartshorne, Aaron Moody, Frankie Morton and George Whitehead.
England will be looking to build on recent successes. The U16s won 15–9 at Carton House in Ireland last year and staged a dramatic final-day comeback to triumph 16–14 at Burnham & Berrow in 2024, with Lichtenhein, Peaford, Boyes and Hartshorne all playing key roles.
England U16 Team Captain and Manager Jamie O’Connor said:
“The annual match against Ireland is a great opportunity for our brightest under-16 prospects to gain experience competing at international level. Ballybunion will provide a challenging but spectacular setting for what is a strong England team, including debutants Albie Beeston, Ria Prabhakar and Daisy Lee.”
The players head to Ireland with impressive recent form. Crump is the reigning English Girls’ Stroke Play champion, Morton won this year’s English U18 Championship, while Moody claimed the Scottish U16 Boys’ title. Rising stars Lee, Prabhakar and Beeston have also enjoyed breakthrough wins in 2025.
The format mirrors that of the European Team Championships and Home Internationals, giving England’s emerging golfers vital preparation for the highest levels of competition.
