Cricketer Ben Stokes arrested after Bristol nightclub incident

England cricketer Ben Stokes was arrested following an incident at a nightclub in Bristol.

The all-rounder was dropped from the England squad, who will face the West Indies on Wednesday, 27 September, in their fourth one-day international.

The 26-year-old Test vice-captain was arrested after an incident at Bristol’s Mbargo club early on Monday morning, which left another man needing hospital treatment for facial injuries.

Team-mate Alex Hales, who was with Stokes, will also miss the match and has returned to Bristol to help police.
