Police in India have arrested two people after tensions flared over a deepening water crisis in Shimla.
Residents took to the streets in protest over the shortage, which has entered its 11th day. Around 100 people are reported to have blocked a major highway in the area.
Protests have also been held outside the house of the region’s chief minister.
An online campaign has been urging tourists to stay away from the popular getaway until resources return.
Officials have blamed the water crisis on a dry winter, claiming that the mountainous region saw record-low snowfall this year.
