Train derails in northern India, injuring 25

A train derailed in northern India yesterday (30.03.2017), injuring at least 25 people.

The eight-carriage train was on the way from Jabalpur City to New Delhi when it came off the tracks in Uttar Pradesh State at around 2am. A disaster management team was rushed out to the scene and though many were injured it is believed that there were no fatalities.

The cause of the derailment has not yet been determined and police are investigating whether the incident was either an accident or a planned attack.
