Three men arrested in Mumbai after 22-year-old Instagram user raped

Three men have been arrested after a 22-year-old man in Mumbai was raped by four people who used a post put up by the victim on Instagram to trace his location and later abduct him.

A fourth suspect, who was arrested with the trio, was a minor and has subsequently been sent to a child remand home.

The victim’s location was traced by the men after he posted a selfie of him outside a restaurant in the city. They approached the victim and after he accompanied them on a bike ride to a hotel near Mumbai airport, they forced him into a car and abducted him

According to the police, the man was raped in a moving car for three hours before being dumped by a road.

The victim reported the crime to police in the early hours of Monday morning, and the suspects were arrested later the same day.
