Student hacked to death on way to examination centre in India

A student was hacked to death in India whilst on his way to an examination centre.

The 19-year-old, identified as Sudheer, who was studying at a college in a suburb of Hyderabad, was attacked by a group of four men on the Hyderabad-Mumbai national highway on Monday 12 March.

Reports say the victim was one of two riding on a motorcycle, which was stopped by the assailants, who were also on motorcycles. They then proceed to attack Sudheer with bladed weapons.

Members of the public chased the offenders of which two were arrested. The other two remain at large.
