Runaway train carriages travel for seven miles in India

    Runaway carriages that became detached from a train rolled backwards for seven miles in India.

    Fortunately, none of the estimated 1,000 passengers were injured when authorities managed to halt the 22 carriages, in the eastern state of Orissa, after they placed rocks on the tracks.

    An investigation into the incident has been launched and seven employees of the train company have been suspended.
