A Pakistani man has been sentenced to death for the rape and murder of four boys in Chunian district.
27-year-old Suhail Shehzad, was sentenced to death by the Pakistani Anti-Terrorism Court on Tuesday following his arrest in early October.
The four boys, aged between eight and 12-years-old, were reported missing between June and September this year, with their bodies later found dumped close to a nearby bypass.
Post-mortems carried out on the deceased revealed that they were sexually assaulted before being killed.
Throughout the hearing of the case, the Anti-Terrorism Court recorded statements from 23 witnesses as well as the accused, before sentencing Shehzad to life imprisonment and death on three counts.
Shehzad was also ordered to pay a fine of Rs 3 million, as well as Rs 200,000 in compensation to the legal heirs of his victims.
