The minister for happiness for the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh is being hunted as a murder suspect.
Lal Singh Arya, 53, who presides over a department designed to boost the wellbeing of the population of the state, has been missing since Tuesday, 12 December, when a court ordered his arrest.
He is wanted in connection with the murder of an opposition politician in 2009, though he has previously denied the charges.
He is scheduled to appear in court on 19 December.
