Human rights lawyer Asma Jahangir laid to rest in Lahore

    The prominent human rights lawyer Asma Jahangir was laid to rest in Lahore.

    Jahangir was buried at her family’s farmhouse on Bedian Road on Tuesday 13 February. The 66-year-old passed away on Sunday afternoon after suffering cardiac arrest.

    Local media reported that she will be remembered as a champion of the disenfranchised and for her services towards building a democratic and more inclusive Pakistan.
