Medical staff in the Sindh province of Pakistan are threatening the local government with further strike action over pay.
Outpatient departments were shut down in government hospitals across Sindh on Monday 28 January. The walk-out is set to continue today and tomorrow.
The protesters allege the provincial government have failed to raise salaries and provide adequate health insurance.
They have given the authorities one week, warning that if their demands are not met they will extend their protest to a shutdown of emergency ward services.
