Five people have been killed in clashes after violence erupted during elections in West Bengal.
Some reports claim the death toll could rise to around 10.
Sources say voter intimidation and violent attacks took place at polling booths over local body elections on Monday 14 May.
India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) of instigating violence to disrupt voting. The accused party has denied the allegations.
