Violent clashes broke out in Indian-administered Kashmir on the anniversary of the killing of a militant leader.
Security forces surrounded the hometown of Burhan Wani, who was killed aged 22 when fighting Indian troops in July 2016.
In other areas, it has been reported that tear gas was used against stone-throwing protesters.
Wani became a figurehead for young people as he is credited with reviving the image of militancy in Muslim-majority Indian-administered Kashmir.
There has been an armed revolt in the Muslim-majority region against rule by India since 1989, although violence has waned in recent years.
Saturday's violence, 8 July, started as people tried to walk to Wani’s home in Tral.
