Authorities say the death toll from floods in the north east Indian state of Assam has reached 26.
Levels in all of the major rivers have been reported to now be receding but the region is still in the grip of flood waters.
Over 20,000 people are believed to be accommodated in relief camps, with an estimated number just short of 100,000 affected by the floods overall.
