John Abraham’s Parmanu vs Anushka Sharma’s Pari: Which film will you watch on the Holi weekend?

Clashes seem to be the order of the day this year. With every film looking at making the most of the many extended weekends, there is an inevitable rush to release a film on the same date.

And while a little bit of competition is good every now and then, the fact that clashes eat away into the business of both the films can’t be denied. But, considering that the year has only 52 weeks and there are far more releases than that in Bollywood itself, perhaps the sooner that filmmakers make peace with clashes, the better.

While we are still reeling under confusion what with Padmaavat, Pad Man and Aiyaary rescheduling, we have yet another clash in the making. So, it is confirmed that John Abraham’s Parmanu will clash with Anushka Sharma’s Pari at the box office on the extended Holi weekend. Both the films are vying to release on March 2, which is when the festival of colours will be celebrated this year.

Both films are poles apart in terms of their genre, so that shouldn’t pose a problem but for the chunk of audience that would want to watch both the films, a clash means they would have to choose.
