In the era of hyper connectivity, and with hundreds of “friends” on our social networks, a global study shows that not only do Britons have the lowest number of best friends… we also don’t want any more.
The latest report by Snap Inc (the owners of Snapchat) shows four in five (81%) Britons aren’t interested in having as many friends as possible. In fact, we have on average 2.6 best friends with whom we share everything with – nearly half the number of friends of people in the Middle East and the lowest of all countries surveyed.
To discuss the report we were joined by the author of The Friendship Cure, Kate Leaver.
