Ronnie O’Sullivan takes English Open title

Ronnie O’Sullivan produced a stunning display to win the English Open title.

The Rocket beat fellow Englishman Kyren Wilson 9-2 in Barnsley yesterday, 22 October, to take his 29th ranking title.

The 41-year-old made four 100-plus breaks in the final, making a 131 break to clinch the match.

The five-time world champion had an eventful week – he was involved in a dispute over wearing trainers due to a foot injury and also allowed a woman who ran into the arena to take the final shot in his 4-1 win over China's Zhang Yong.
