Pakistan to meet England in Champions Trophy semi-final

Pakistan and England will face-off in the semi-finals of the International Cricket Council's Champions Trophy on Wednesday, 14 June.

Pakistan successfully made it to the next stage after an exhilarating three-wicket win over Sri Lanka in Cardiff yesterday, 12 June.

Junaid Khan (3-40) and Hasan Ali (3-43) impressed for Pakistan as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 236, losing four wickets for six runs.

Pakistan also struggled with the bat before captain Sarfraz Ahmed stood up to claim an unbeaten 61.

The other semi-final will take place at Edgbaston on Thursday, 15 June, between India and Bangladesh.

If they can overcome England in Cardiff, Pakistan will defend their first Champions Trophy final on Sunday, 18 June, at the Oval.
