Laura Kenny helps GB to silver in team pursuit on return to track

Laura Kenny helped Team GB to a silver medal in the team pursuit at the World Track Championships, in her first competition since returning from giving birth.

The four-time Olympic gold medallist gave birth to her first child in August and only began training with the team in early January.

The 25-year-old came second with team mates Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker and Emily Nelson. They were beaten by the USA in a close fought race which ebbed and flowed in favour of both teams throughout.

Earlier on Ed Clancy, Charlie Tanfield, Ethan Hayter and Kian Emadi won gold in the men's team pursuit, in a dominant display over Denmark.
