Everton’s Ross Barkley punched in face at bar

The Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has allegedly been assaulted in a bar in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police are investigating video footage which shows the 23-year-old being punched in the face on Sunday night (9 April 2017).

The incident happened a short time after Barkley had played in Everton’s 4-2 victory over Leicester City.

The England international had been talking to the attacker at the bar before the man threw two punches which caused Barkley to fall over. The suspect was then dragged away.

Everton have as of yet not responded to requests for comment.
