Shaad Ali captures real essence of Sandeep Singh in Soorma

Soorma tells the story of the inspirational hockey player Sandeep Singh.

The cast and crew of the film have put in months of dedication and hard work in order to do justice to the inspirational story of the former Indian hockey captain.

Director Shaad Ali shared how he spent much of his time re-watching footage of Sandeep Singh in action as well as spent time with Sandeep’s family in his hometown of Shahabad. Making the incredible effort to keep the movie as authentic as possible in order to capture the real spirit of Sandeep’s journey, leading actor, Diljit Dosanjh trained with Sandeep himself.
