Deepika Padukone will be a part of Vin Diesel’s xXx sequel

Deepika Padukone is definitely going to be a part of the xXx: Return of Xander Cage, director DJ Caruso has reassured once again.

The announcement came that Chinese singer Roy Wang of the The Fighting Boys band has also been roped in to play an important role in the sequel. Caruso took to his Twitter page to welcome the young artist to the “family”. On the same tweet, a fan asked the filmmakers about the involvement of Deepika in the sequel.

“What about @deepikapadukone. Will she be the part of the film?”, the fan questioned. “Yes”, replied Caruso. This is definitely not the first time Caruso has confirmed Deepika’s presence in the upcoming film, which is in pre-production. The film is set to go on floors in January 2019. But don’t expect Deepika to start shooting immediately. Reason number 1 being, the filmmaker is yet to decide her shooting schedule. Replying to a fan query about the actress’ schedule for xXx, he had tweeted, “Working it out now script being scheduled”.

Reason number 2 being, Deepika is currently busy planning her big fat wedding to bea Ranveer Singh. As per a report by Filmfare, the date has been set for November 20. The love birds will tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in Italy. We wonder if xXx 4 will be the first film for Deepika after her wedding.
