A 62 year old woman has died after being knocked over by a stolen car.
Susan Gravel, was hit while walking along Station Road, in Stainforth, at about 12:55pm on Saturday.
Local Police have confirmed a stolen grey or silver BMW had crashed into a parked vehicle on Station Road just before the incident and may have been the car involved in the hit and run. They believe the vehicle's registration started with HV07.
The force has appealed for the driver of the BMW to contact the police and for any witnesses to come forward.
PC Phil Carson said: "We urgently need people to contact us who may have seen the car involved, whether it was before, during or after the collision.
