Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road collision in Leeds on Wednesday.
The incident happened at around 3pm in Rothwell, between the junctions of Commercial Street and Royds Lane.
A blue Skoda Fabia was driving across Marsh Street in the direction of Royds Lane when it collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the road.
As a result of the collision, a 78-year-old man, from Rothwell, suffered serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Anyone who saw the Skodia Fabia being driven in the area prior to the collision or who may have witnessed the collision itself is asked to contact the police on 101.
