British Transport Police and Network Rail are warning the public of the dangers of trespassing on the tracks.
Among 38 recorded incidents of trespass on the Airedale route through Keighley in the past year four people were killed, twice as many as in the previous year.
There were also two incidents of people receiving non-fatal injuries.
Reports say that, across the region, the number of young people risking their lives on railway lines has reached a four-year high.
