Vandals wrote racist graffiti aimed at the Muslim community in Glasgow under the eyes of a CCTV camera.
The racist slur, ‘stop Muslim invasion,’ appeared on a walkway on Waterside Street near to the River Clyde.
The walkway is used regularly by residents and tourists, and footfall is expected to increase when a new pub opens in Richmond Park.
The location of the graffiti is directly below CCTV which is understood to be in operation.
Glasgow City Council confirmed they had received a report of graffiti and are sending out the Environmental Task Force team to remove it.
Police Scotland said they had not received a report about the insulting scrawl.
