Two guns were found in a garden in Gorton.
At around 12.30pm on Friday 8 September 2017, officers executed a drugs warrant at a house on Shelford Avenue, Gorton.
As part of an ongoing investigation, the house had been identified as being a major source of antisocial behaviour and suspected drug dealing.
During the warrants, officers found two guns in the garden of the house, which are currently being assessed by specially trained firearms officers.
A car, which is suspected as stolen, was also seized during the warrant.
A 52-year-old man was arrested at the house as he was wanted on recall to prison and a 42-year-old woman was arrested for breaching a court order.
They both remain in police custody.
