Greater Manchester Police have arrested two men on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in Denton.
At around 10.35pm on Saturday 9 March, a 26-year-old woman was discovered dead at a flat in Denton Court. Officers established that the death appeared suspicious.
Two men aged 25 and 21, who were at the address, were taken into custody as witnesses and were later arrested on suspicion of the woman’s murder.
A post mortem is now due to take place to identify the cause of the woman’s death.
The woman has not yet been formally identified.
Inspector Dan Clegg of GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “First of all my thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this devastating time. We will leave no stone unturned in order to give them the answers they deserve.
“We are yet to know the cause of the woman’s death but the circumstances in which she was found have lead us to believe her death is unfortunately suspicious.
“We are appealing for anyone who may know something about her death to get in touch as soon as possible, any information, no matter how small could be vital to our investigation.”
