A man has been arrested after a teenager was knocked from a scooter in Bolton.
The boy, aged 15, was riding an electric scooter on Watson Road in the Harper Green area of Farnworth at around 1.50pm on Monday 1st April when a silver-coloured Audi A3 collided with him.
He suffered a broken ankle that required hospital treatment.
A man, aged 24, has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
Detective Sergeant Craig Wallace from GMP’s Bolton district said: “The consequences of this collision could potentially have been fatal.
“The victim and his family are understandably very shocked and we’d like to wish him well as he continues his recovery.
“We have arrested one person but our investigation does not stop here. We are appealing for witnesses or those with information or dashcam footage to contact us.
“Did you see the collision, or perhaps saw the scooter or car in the vicinity at the time? This occurred in daylight in a busy area, so we believe there may be a number of potential witnesses.”
