A school in Saltaire has issued a statement following an incident of disorder at Robert’s Park.
Police were called to the park at around 3.10pm on Monday 13 May. A spokesperson said there was a report of a weapon but no weapon was found.
A 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Ian Morrel, head teacher of Titus Salt School, said: “There will be an increased police presence around Saltaire today to give further reassurance of public safety.
"We will continue to be in communication with the police to ensure the safety of our pupils and continue to provide for their education."
