A man has been arrested and a police officer left with serious injuries after a pursuit in Salford.
Shortly after 12:05am on Tuesday, 13 June 2017, police officers attempted to pull over a blue Fiat Punto on the A6, close to Little Hulton.
A pursuit began on the A6 after the car failed to stop but officers managed to end the chase by deploying a stinger.
As both cars left the roundabout at the junction of the A6 and A666 they collided with the central reservation barrier before coming to a stop.
The suspects jumped out of their car and ran off.
A short time later, a 17-year-old boy was arrested nearby on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
He remains in custody for questioning.
The driver of the police car was taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening, injuries where he remains for treatment.
