Police Name And Issue Image of Huddersfield Murder Victim

The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team can now name the victim of Saturday night’s fatal incident as Jake Rainton from Huddersfield.

Jake, aged 23 and pictured, tragically died on Sunday afternoon after sustaining head injuries in an assault outside the Revolution Bar in Cross Church Street in the early hours of Saturday July 15.

Two males, aged 24 and 26 remain in police custody under arrest on suspicion of Jake’s murder.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigating officers via 101LiveChat function on the website or by calling 101 quoting reference 13230393493.

Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
