Police investigating an incident in Bradford in which a man was seriously assaulted are appealing for witnesses to an earlier incident the same day which may be linked.
Between 3pm and 4.25pm on Monday, 3 October, a black VW Golf and a blue Audi A4 were travelling along Beckside Road towards Great Horton Road.
It is believed there has been an incident which resulted in both vehicles stopping and the male occupants of each vehicle getting involved in an altercation.
There has then been a minor collision between the two vehicles as they drove away.
This is believed to be linked to a later incident in Hollybank Gardens, Bradford, where a man was seriously assaulted.
Four men have been charged with a number of offences relating to the later incident and have been remanded in custody.
One man remains in hospital in a critical, but stable condition.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the altercation is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team on 101 or report information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
