Crowcroft Park has been sealed off in south Manchester after reports a 12-year-old girl was raped.
Police were called to Crowcroft Park, off Stockport Road in Levenshulme shortly before 11.30pm last night where they discovered a young girl had been subjected to a serious sex attack.
The area was immediately cordoned off with two forensic tents placed in the park whilst forensic officers conducted their investigation.
A GMP spokeswoman said: “On arrival officers discovered that a 12-year-old girl had been raped.”
“Police are currently at the scene carrying out enquiries.
