Police divers are searching a river in Manchester city centre over fears a man could be in the water.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “We were called at 11.35am to Left Bank in the city centre to reports of a bag left under suspicious circumstances. Officers have attended and found personal belongings abandoned in the area. A search is on-going to establish what has happened.”
Police are searching the area over concerns for the owner of the items, although the underwater divers have been unable to find anything officials state they intend to continue the search.
