Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary at a shop on Dewsbury Road in Ossett.
Officers were called to McColls at 22.25 on Sunday 2 February to reports a man had forced his way into the premises and threatened staff with a knife before fleeing and making off on foot.
No one was injured and the suspect left empty handed.
The suspect is described as a white male, of stocky build, around 5ft9 tall. He was wearing a dark coloured sports jacket and dark bottoms his face was covered up with a scarf.
CCTV enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw a male of the above description acting suspiciously in the area is asked to contact police.
