Police in Kirklees are appealing for information following a fire at a property in the Deighton area of Huddersfield.
Officers were called to a flat on Chalwood at around 11.20am on 1 May. The occupants were awoken by the fire alarm and went down stairs to find their front door had been set alight. They managed to extinguish the fire before alerting the fire service and police.
A police spokesperson said they would like to speak to anyone who seen a white male in the area on the morning of the incident, who has been described as tall, of slim build and was wearing a hat.
