Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a shop in Leeds
At about 5.30pm on Sunday (4/12) a masked man armed with a knife entered the Yousaf Newsagent, in Fraser Street, Burmantofts, and demanded cash.
He threatened the male member of staff before reaching over the counter and taking cash from the till. He then ran from the store.
He was wearing black clothing, a black balaclava and black gloves.
Detective Inspector Charlotte Hails, of Leeds District CID, said: "The shopkeeper was put in genuine fear when he was confronted by this male and we need to hear from anyone who saw him leaving the scene or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area in the time time leading up to the robbery."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101
