Phase one of a new Urban Bike Park in south Leeds has officially opened this month.
Funded by Leeds City Council, British Cycling and Sport England, the new £1.2m cycling hub situated in Middleton Park will, when completed after three different phases of work, host a range of family-friendly facilities and activities for people of different cycling experience.
After the first phase the public now has access to a cross country mountain bike trail for casual use and for cross country mountain bike competitions, which when completed will be 6km in length.
There are also two pump tracks, which cater for both experienced and less experienced riders.
