Works to expand a Muslim burial ground in Bradford are to get underway later this year.
Council bosses were told of the development during a meeting of the authority’s executive yesterday (12 June).
As part of the major shakeup of Bradford's bereavement services, the existing Muslim Burial Ground at Scholemoor will be expanded onto a neighbouring plot of empty land.
It will create an extra capacity for five to six years of burials.
