A mother-of-four from Bradford has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after dishonestly claiming over £42,000 from the taxpayer.
Kelly Passmore, 34, of Mayfield View, Wyke, Bradford, pleaded guilty to dishonestly claiming Housing Benefit and Income Support between July 2011 and November 2016.
Bradford Crown Court heard that Ms Passmore failed to tell the authorities she was living with her “on off” partner over a period of five years.
The fraud came to light in April 2017, when Passmore admitted that her circumstances had changed.
She was handed a suspended prison sentence and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
