An investigation has been launched after a man was attacked outside of a pub in Stockport last weekend.
At around 12.15am on Sunday 7 April, a man in his 30s was assaulted by a number of men who struck the man with a pint pot and repeatedly kicked and stamped on him whist on the ground outside the Romiley Arms, Stockport Road.
The man lost consciousness and sustained serious facial injuries that required hospital treatment.
Witnesses state that there were approximately six or more men involved in the assault, all in their early 20s.
Given that this was a large scale disturbance the police are trying to identify if anyone has any video or dashcam footage of the assault.
