A man was seriously injured in a stabbing incident in Leeds.
At 9.48pm on Thursday, 2 November, police were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending a McColl’s shop, in Stainbeck Road, Meanwood, where an 18-year-old man had sought help after being attacked somewhere in the vicinity.
The victim was found to have serious injuries including a significant wound to his abdomen. He was taken to hospital by ambulance and underwent emergency surgery overnight. He is currently in a critical condition.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault a short time later and remains in custody.
