A man was stabbed numerous times in Dantzic Street, Manchester.
The 25-year-old victim suffered stab wounds to his chest, back and stomach and was taken to Manchester Royal infirmary.
It is known that the attacker was dropped off on Radium Street, Ancoats after threatening the taxi driver with a knife.
He is described as white, aged between 20 and 25-years-old, of medium build and between 5ft to 5ft5inches tall. He was wearing a white long sleeved top, dark jeans and white trainers.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the police on 101.
