One man has died and another is fighting for his life in hospital after a collision in Dunham Massey.
At around 12.30am on Sunday 7 October, Greater Manchester Police received a report that a car had collided with a tree on Paddock Lane.
Officers attended and it was established a silver BMW 3 series had left the road, overturned and collided with a tree.
A man in his 20s – who is believed to be the driver – was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger – who is also a man in his 20s – suffered extensive multiple injuries and is currently in a life-threatening condition in hospital.
Sergeant Lee Westhead, from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A young man has lost his life as a result of this collision and another is currently fighting for his own in hospital.
“The families and friends of these men are still coming to terms with what has happened to their loved one. Our priority is to support them and provide them with the facts about what has happened.
“I would urge anyone who saw this car on Paddock Lane, or at any point prior to the collision. to please contact the investigation team. I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage, or any information which could help us, to please contact us too.”
