A man has been jailed after he hurled abuse and then repeatedly drove his car at a schoolboy.
Kirklees Magistrates Court heard that the terrified 15-year-old was forced to jump over a wall to get away from Lee Blenkin as he drove deliberately at the boy as he walked to mosque wearing full Islamic dress on August 9th in Carlton Road, Dewsbury.
Blenkin, was jailed for sixteen weeks after admitting a charge of religiously-aggravated assault.
49 year old Blenkin, of Halifax Road in Dewsbury, was also banned from driving for 12 months and eight weeks as he had used the vehicle as a weapon.
